Yar, Harry doesn't seem to very well in school, does he? Except for Defense Against the Dark Arts of course. And you really have to admire Voldemort's timing... he seems to know how to attack after the exams are over. Looks like he understands the importance of having a good education--your studies should always come before saving the world. I think Volemort means "thief of death" in French. Sort of makes sense if you consider he's trying to attain immortality. Oh, and I read an interesting explanation for why the sword dropped out of the Sorting Hat in this facfic called The Thinking Cap Returns.
Personally I think Draco has a crush on Hermione, but I'm all for the Ron/Hermione pairing. What I can't really accept is the Ginny/Harry pairing 'cause I don't like Ginny very much. I guess that's why there are so many MS made for the sole purpose of making out with Harry and so many slash fics. And Chris, I think about every single person in the Potter Universe has been paired up with each other at some point or other... I've seen Lucius/Snape, Voldemort/Harry, Sirius/James, Lily/Voldemort, Lily/Harry, Dumbledore/Lupin, Lucius/Lockhart *choke gasp cough*... although (thankfully) I haven't seen any James/Harry or Lucius/Draco or anything similarly ick yet. You'll find the weirdest especially if they're not at fanfic.net.
